CONSULTATIONWe recommend that you begin by scheduling a design consultation. We will come to your home and begin to get a feel for the project. This is a chance to meet the designer; to "show and tell" your ideas and needs about the project. During the process, feel free to clip magazine pages, describe the dynamics of the household, your schedule, cooking styles - all of which are very important for a successful design. Allow yourself enough time to interact with your designer. The designer will take this information, including measurements, or your achitect's plans, and being to formulate a layout or two. The layouts remain the property of SBD Kitchens until a retainer agreement has been signed. RETAINER We will come back to you with design options and a preliminary budget for a second meeting. Once the preliminary floor plans are approved, and rough estimates have been explored, a non-refundable retainer of 10% of the estimated project cost is required to proceed. PLACING THE ORDER Once the floor plan, elevations and specifications are approved, and once the contract is signed, the order is placed. At that time, 50% of the contract price is due, which allows us to place the cabinet and countertop order. Appliances and fixtures are handled differently. Delivery dates are given one a complete set of drawings is given to the mill shop to proceed. We schedule and coordinate the construction to minimize any inconvenience to the client and family. INSTALLATION SCHEDULEUsing our experience as a comforting guide, SBD is there to assist you with all decision making. We will help you by making informed recommendations on all aspects of kitchen design, including appliances, lighting, finishes, counter surfaces, etc. A complete production/installation schedule will be produced for you and we will work with you every step of the way to ensure that your project surpasses all expectations and meets all your needs. |
